WILD FIRE SNUFF-OUT 245 YOUNG LIVES IN BRAZILIAN NIGHTCLUB

This is breaking news coming from Brazil where fire at a famous nightclub is said to have swept through a fully packed nightclub, killing over 240 people. This sad news is the biggest bad news of the year so far. According to police, at least 245 people have lost their lives from the wild blaze which swept through the crowded nightclub.

The incident is said to have happened in the southern Brazil city of Santa Maria. The terrible incident happened
while a famous band was playing at the Kiss nightclub. The revelers were having a good time, enjoying the music being delivered to them by the band. Before they could realize a wild fire had begun resulting in panic everywhere. According to Santa Maria’s fire chief it was the panic that came after the fire outbreak that caused a lot of people to die as many revelers began to run helter-skelter, looking for a way to save their lives from the blaze. But sadly in doing this, many were trampled upon.

The Brazilian authorities have placed the main cause of death on asphyxiation. The wild fire is said to have began around 2 in the morning when the nightclub was fully packed. According to information received from a security guard at the Kiss nightclub, there were between 1,000 and 2,000 people packed in the nightclub that night. And one can only imagine what happened when the fire started. At the moment investigators are trying to find out what caused the fire although there are sketchy details that the fire started when the soundproofing of the building housing the nightclub caught fire.

The fire is reported to have spread very fast all over the nightclub, making it difficult for a lot of people to escape. To make things worse, reports have it that the place had only one emergency exit. Had the nightclub had more emergency exists, probably more lives would have been saved. Seeing that there was only one emergency exit where everyone was shoving and pushing one another in order to get out, the firefighters decided to make a hole in one of the walls so other people can use it as a form of emergency exit. This probably went on to save a lot of lives.

The Brazil nightclub fire disaster is so far one of the worst nightclub tragedies so far. At the moment, Santa Maria city is so overwhelmed with the number of deaths that authorities have made an improvised morgue at the Municipal Sports Centre where about 70 bodies have been deposited.
