CHANGE THE ROUTE

CHANGE THE ROUTE
If you love oranges, you must also love the road that leads to the tree that bears it.
I have seen great contradiction in life --- People love the money they earn but do not love what they do to earn the money and to this magnitude of contradiction, there can never be greatness or fulfillment because it simply means you will take the road to the tree only for the sweet juice but there are also times when there will not be sweet juice to suck but bitter seeds to plant and groom and that is where greatness lies.
If you do not like the road, it simply means you do not truly love orange and you can simply take another route to other kinds of fruit.

I was in a friend’s car on our way to a ceremony when I heard his little son of just 3 leaped in ecstasy at the back seat when we made a turn to one of the popular street in the city, and just about the time I started wondering why he was that joyous, he started chorusing the name of a popular fast food joint miles before we got to the joint. The dad looked at me and said “this is the road he knows so well” and that if anyone ask him question of any destination, he’ll mention the name of the street.

The little boy knows and loves the street. He sings it and mentions it to anyone who cares to listen--- why? Because the street harbors what he wants and that is exactly how it should be with us.

We must love the endeavor that harbors our daily income. We must be able to sing it and mention it to everyone that cares to listen. If we can’t love the endeavor, it simply means there is no greatness in it for us, so instead of wasting time in disliking the route, it is safer and better to change the route--- change what you do!
